REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN THE WALDWICK PISTOL AND RIFLE CLUB INC.

Must be at least 18 years age, a Waldwick resident, or a resident of any town that has signed the inter-local agreement allows that town’s police to currently qualify at the Waldwick Police Pistol range .  A complete background check is required up through and including the FBI in Washington. This is done through the New Jersey Firearms ID program. An application is available from your local police department or the NJ FARS site. (link below) The perspective member will be interviewed by the membership committee prior to the acceptance of the individual. Upon approval of membership, the new member will be on a six-month probation, during that time they must attend a firearms safety course given by our certified instructors and attend a minimum of 6 supervised shoots. Membership to the National Rifle Association is required.

REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN THE JUNIOR RIFLE PROGAM

Any young person regardless of where that person resides and is between ages 8 – 18 may join the Waldwick Junior Rifle Club.  Each junior member undergoes a safety course every year, even if they have already attended one in a previous year. The junior program usual runs from September to June.  The juniors are under constant supervision by our accredited firearms instructors.  These instructors not only supervise the operations of the shooting, they give instructions to the juniors so they may better their scores.  At the end of the shooting season an awards night is held where they receive medals, brassards and certificates for the accomplishments they have achieved during the shooting season
